Speech Therapy Share on Saturdays!

I absolutely love reviewing the great Speech Therapy Ideas that SLP bloggers submit each week here on "Speech Therapy Share on Saturdays".

Each week is different. Some weeks I think "Oh, that is so neat!" or "What a cute activity, I must try it out". On other weeks I am challenged to think deeply about the therapy we SLPs provide and to research the evidence base behind it.

Sometimes, certain blog posts jump out at me and I find it easy to select my favorite 3 links. Other weeks it is hard to choose.

This week it was literally impossible to choose.

After spending an hour or more reading the details in the posts I had learned so much and yet still was no nearer to choosing my favorite three! So I must confess, this week I drew names out of a hat to choose my favorites (but only because I found it too hard to choose the best from such a great selection!!)

So read on for three wonderful featured posts and then when you are done, skip back to last week's linky and read the others (I'll remind you again at the end!)

In my first selection, Speak Listen Play uses an articulation challenge (based on an idea from Speech Peeps ) to celebrate the 100th day of school. I really liked the motivational bulletin board and the info she displayed for parents.

Major Speech, Minor Girl shares some neat low cost or no cost therapy ideas.

Have you ever taken your laundry to work?! Maybe you should! This is a great idea for parents to use at home too.

Finally, Lauren from Busy Bee Speech introduced me to the idea of "Articulation Centers".

For me, as a school based SLP this was a real light bulb moment! I know that this is going to be a post that changes the way I do therapy with a certain section of my caseload. You can read more directly from Lauren here.

I am really excited to learn more about the concept of using centers or stations with our paediatric caseloads. I have started a collaborative board on Pinterest to collect and store the materials that I find. You can see it here.

If you would like to join me as a pinner on this board, give me a shout-out on Facebook with your Pinterest ID and I will send you an invite.

Don't forget, you can still read all the great posts from last week here.

You can also submit your own post below.

You will feature on the linky for others to view your blog and ideas and I will be choosing my three favorites to be the highlighted blogs next week!
